(COVID -19): Pres. Akufu Addo has not been tested positive – Kojo Oppong Nkrumah

Some people circulated on social media that the President and some of his appointees have been tested positive for coronavirus.

Some of the reports claimed they were infected by the Norway ambassador to Ghana when he visited the Jubilee House some few weeks ago.

Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the Information Minister, cautioned persons to desist from the practice of spreading fake news.

 

“There are people even though in these trying times take delight in fabricating stories and throwing them out there on social media. Sometimes for political purposes, sometimes for mere humor, we would like to discourage such practices,” he said.
