Coz Ov Moni screens at Durban Film festival

imagesCoz Ov Moni, a Ghanaian musical film by music group, FOKN Bois, has been selected for screening at this year’s Durban Film festival which started yesterday, July 18 till first week in August.

Unlike many of the films that were submitted on call, Coz Ov Moni: FOKN Revenge, the second in the series of the first ever pidgin music film was recommended by Oscar award nominated producer, Mike Lerner, according to the Durban Film Festival’s official site.

It will be screened today at Musgrave in South Africa.

Directed by King Luu, the first edition of the film detailed the follies and foibles of a day in the life of Wanlov the Kubolor and M3nsa.

In the second part, Coz Ov Moni: FOKN Revenge, they take their revenge mission against a gang that ambushed, robbed and left them to die.

Durban Film Festival is one of the reputable films festivals in Africa which features international and South African films, documentaries and short films.

It is the 35th edition of  the, Durban Film Festival which is an annual event that takes place in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal province in South Africa. Started in 1979, it is the largest and oldest film festival in South Africa and presents over 200 screenings which celebrates the best in South African, African and international cinema.

The festival also offers filmmaker workshops, industry seminars, discussion forums, and outreach activities that include screenings in township areas where cinemas are non-existent.
