CULTURE AND PERCEPTION…

Our way of life as a particular group of people within a specific era defines us as special people within a designated jurisdiction. Some aspects of any cultural setting may include; dressing, music, foods, languages and so on.
Ideally, as a result of cross cultural adaptations, most people are unable to readily identify the cultural backgrounds of others.

The notion that others hold about some group of people is also another dimension that can be very interesting. Let’s not forget that people’s culture has significantly evolved over the years. In order not to make this write up a never ending one, I want to just look at how someone’s perception can affect other’s culture.

It should be recognized that “cultural perception” may be said to actually be how an individual sees and/or assesses the way some people do their things such as the way they speak, dress, sing, eat and so on and so forth. Now, seeing others for who they are and what they do is a bit different from actually going closer to them to really experience things for oneself.

The idea people hold about others would never change how those people are but has the tendency to influence their original lives if they are really targeted for such purposes. It’s good to hold a perspective about others; whether good or bad but the subsequent actions that follow is what can make or unmake any existing relationships between people of different cultural backgrounds better or worse.

We all have the right to think, feel or act towards other people’s culture but know that disregarding other people’s way of life openly can bring serious consequences.
