NPP Bono Regional Chairman, Kwame Baffoe aka Abronye DC has cautioned the National Democratic Congress to stop criticizing Electoral Commission (EC) over its decision to compile a new voters’ register. 

Abronye DC iterated that it is the constitutional mandate of the EC to compile a voters’ register and, as a result, no amount of demonstration can stop them.

He listed some series of events to prove that the current voters’ register is not credible and demands a change.

“NDC cannot tell us that the current voter register is correct because Mr. Afari Gyan in 2012 said the voter register is bloated which means we don’t have a credible and transparent voter register…Madam Charlotte Osei on Newsfile also admitted ghost names are in the voter register, therefore it will be hypocrisy on the part of the opposition NDC to say the current voter register is transparent and credible”, he told host Kwame Nkruma Tikesi on Okay FM’s “Ade Akye Abia” morning programme.
