It has been a platform for gospel music lovers to enjoy good performances from their favourite artistes and this year, it will be no different when the Hosanna Praise concert comes off at the Adentan Community Park on Saturday, September 5. The concert which aims at raising funds to support the education of some less privileged children in the Adentan community will attract some notable names on the gospel music scene such as Cwesi Oteng, Uncle Ato, Selina Boateng, Eugene Zuta and KODA
Apart from these artistes, there will also be performances from Lady Pastor Sweetlina Boateng -Antwi, The Jubilant Praise Choir and The Commissioned Family.
The Member of Parliament for Adentan, Mr. Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore will be the special guest of honour.
In an interview with Showbiz, Mrs Boateng-Antwi of Christ Cares International Ministries, organisers of the charity concert, said the concert is an annual event where the church raises funds for the less privileged in society through music.
“We have been doing this for 10 years but this year, we want a bigger funding tosupport the education of many underprivileged children in Adentan and its environs.
“We started with five kids at the maiden edition. The following year, we catered for 20 children and since then the number has increased in subsequent years.
According to her, although it will not be easy, this year, she hopes together with her team, they can put smiles on the faces of 200 children.
“We can’t achieve this without the public’s assistance. With just GHC10 as admission fee, we will secure these children’s future with education,” she stated.
“It is the duty of the society to help these children and not to neglect them. If the society fails in this endeavour, we will pay dearly for the negative effects in future,. So I am appealing to all to support this worthy cause of bringing hope to the hopeless”, she stated.
