Dedicated NGOs Partnered To Support Ghana’s Inclusive Educational Policy

In an attempt to contribute towards the virtual teaching and learning instituted by the Ministry of Education, the Special Mothers Project, an advocacy and awareness creation program on cerebral palsy has collaborated with Afri – Educational plus, an education-oriented organization in the United States to assist Ghana’s Inclusive Education policy.

The two NGOs will roll out educative programs through social media and mainstream media platforms to train and give information about inclusive Education for that benefit of teachers, educators, and parents of children with special needs.

A jointly released statement signed by Mrs. Hannah Awadzi, Executive Director of the Special Mothers Project, and Madam Eunice Turkson, Chief Executive Officer of Afri-Educational Plus said they are dedicated to helping improve the implementation of Ghana’s Inclusive Education policy.

According to them, Mrs. Awadzi will use the platform to share her experiences with regards to enrolling a child with cerebral palsy in mainstream education in Ghana, while Ms. Turkson will share her experiences as a staunch special educator in the United States of America.
