From the previous episode, we discussed the ways of the spirit as compared to that of the flesh. Now, let’s go to the next…

In today’s world, the sins of the flesh have been packaged in so many forms that are not actually felt or seen when one is engrossed in it. We are fully blinded so much we hardly see when it is even getting closer to us. The sins of the flesh only come to belittle or quench our spirit. The spirit serves as the only awakening being in us and can be nurtured continuously to bring sanity to our soul, mind, and entire self.

Most often than not, we are signalled or warned several times but to no avail when we get closer to any CONTAMINANT. As humans, our desires, when they go unsatisfied, become overly burdensome to us. The question is whether we are to satisfy the soul with something that can quench the spirit or stay awake and refuse to be contaminated.


With the excuse that we only live once in this short live cycle of ours, we try all our possible best to satisfy our selfishness (either wrongly or rightly). Another question begging for answers is why God is silent even though we go astray whilst He wants us unto Himself so badly.

I guess it is because He is understanding, merciful and most compassionate deity who chooses not to mingle in the affairs of men. He is 100% appreciative and overjoyed when we try to satisfy Him by obeying all his statutes (commandments) but He is never ready to to force us unto Himself.

He has given us a very clear condition; either we choose Him and keep our sane spirit intact or ignore Him by following his fiercest rival (Satan).

In any case, we should not quench the spirit!
