Distance Education is not for failed students – National President of DESA , UEW.

Over the years, people have had some erroneous perceptions that only weak learners venture into distance education as their last resorts. But, in the actual sense, this has always generated various arguments from the populace. Why so?

Whilst some sections of the public feel that main stream (regular) tertiary education is for all and sundry, others think that it’s for only bright learners and so, only failed students pursue distance education.

Madam Silvia Freeman Kwadey

According to an audio excerpt from Omanhene Kofi Antwi of Asta FM – Techiman, The National President of the Distance Education Students Association (DESA) of the University of Education – Winneba, Madam Silvia Freeman Kwadey, has said that distance education is not meant for students who could not pass their exams whilst in school as being promulgated by the public but a method of education for people who are already in the job market but still want to further their education.
