Opening remarks from Koo Ntakra:

Greeted cherished listeners and indicated that he first came into limelight when he won MTN hit maker 6 years ago. He is an Akuapem from the mountains and grew up at Koforidua.

Early Life Struggles:

From a poor background with no affluent parents but deep rooted in Christianity. Struggled in life but with humility and capitalised on his music talents. Recorded first song in JHS, back in 2002.

His mum objected to his initial intentions to enter into music.

Entered mainstream music in 2013 after he won the MTN hit maker. Struggled financially from JHS to SHS. He went to SHS in 2007.

After completion, he declined his mum’s proposal for him to go to training college.

Occasionally engaged in mason works for some cash.

Identity of Nuclear Family:

Mum’s name is Akosua Porley (Akuaba Kuma Felicia)

Dad’s name is Mr. Jacob Okyere.

Role Models in Music:

Followed Obrafuor’s music in early years and later followed Sarkodie’s music.

Music Projects:

He claimed to have recorded over 700 songs and with two albums. The two albums are Akuaba and KOK.
KOK album has 17 songs and the Akuaba album has 19 songs.

Collaborative Efforts:

It’s normal for you to be sidelined by famous artistes if you are not willing to pay for a collaboration. But, it’s normal because of how busy they are.

For instance, his “Nobody” song stayed with Ayigbe Edem for 2 years before he recorded it for him.

Pope Skinny was a bit closer to him and he helped sometimes no matter how busy he was.

After entering into the limelight, he claims never to have deliberately turned down any collaboration from upcoming artistes.

Upcoming artistes he has worked with are more than 300 guys.

Advise For Upcoming Artistes:

He advised upcoming artistes to be serious in promoting collaborations of theirs with big artistes and not sleep on the projects.

How he feels when his songs are played at spots, joints or famous places:

He indicated that he feels unperturbed about such situations since he has seen and felt fame for so long.
