DJ Sly K asked Danso Abiam of his beginning as a singer:

He indicated that he started singing from church and hails from Akyem Agogosu.

K.K Fosu is Danso Abiam’s role model.

Danso Abiam stayed with his aunty at Tema, met a guy called Before and formed a group called Abrani.

He indicated that they were recording in other studios until his friend studied Sound Engineering and had his own studio.

Any song with the intro as “Can You Feel It” is theirs (Danso Abiam and Before).

They produced tracks like Swaggar(Ruff n Smooth), Kill me shy (Dr. Chryme) and so forth.

Danso Abiam together with his partner discovered Sarkodie, Daddie Opanka, Yaa Pono and a host of talented artistes.

Later Life:

Danso Abiam indicated that he has a wife with five children (all boys).

When forced to reveal his date of birth…he indicated that he was born in 1982.

Latest Song:

The new track in the pipeline is “y3 de Nyame ka”.

He pinpointed some tracks that he has after he collaborated with Sarkodie and Donzy in the past.

He was selling yoghurt, worked as a painter and also did some construction works.

He indicated that he had once worked as mason with Sarkodie, Guru and all the big names in Tema.

Asked about the difference between gospel and circular track:

He indicated that there is no difference in the two but the attitude of the singer and the message the song contains makes all the difference. He cited Kofi Kinata’s “Things Fall Apart” as a better song than most gospel tracks in Ghana and beyond.

Advice For Upcoming Artistes:

Danso Abiam indicated that music comes with fame but if not well managed with prayers and humility, one may find extra help from satanic sources that may be detrimental in the future.
