DKB: “I Have Reconciled With Zainab”

One of Ghana’s representatives in the Big Brother Stargame, comedian Derrick Kwabena Bonney known simply as DKB who was disqualified from the game for physically assaulting Sierra Leonean Model Zainab, has publicly stated that he has reconciled with Zainab who was also disqualified over the same incident.

DKB who was on stage to present an award on Saturday November 17, 2012, at 4Syte TV Music Video Awards said “I Am officially announcing that my sister Zainab and I have just reconciled and now we are best of friends”.

He went on to propagate his advocacy against gender violence and also used the opportunity to publicize his upcoming campaign and new comedy show which according to him is titled ‘Nothing Personal’.

Interestingly Zainab was on the same stage to also present an award with her ‘lover boy’ Keitta and she didn’t mention her supposed reconciliation with DKB but rather dared Keitta to touch her breast on stage which he sarcastically refused.

The two became ‘enemies’ after the incident and all efforts by DKB to contact Zainab proved futile. According to reports Zainab deliberately refused to attend the final BBA Stargame show upon knowing that DKB will be present to avoid any confrontation with him.

They have reunited after a long time of not Seeing eye to eye even after BBA. Zainab arrived in Ghana earlier last week to spend some time with the Ghanaian housemate and also meet her Ghanaian fans. This year’s Big Brother Africa reality show saw many disqualifications than the previous ones has ever witnessed. Zimbabwean housemates Roki and Maneta were also disqualified for physical assault and provocation respectively and they have also reconciled after returning to their country.

DKB and Zainab were spotted having a jolly ride together on the streets of Accra over the weekend. DKB also host Zainab on his radio show ‘Friday Madness’ on Pravda Radio on Friday evening as the two shared some happy moments back in the house and somewhat apologized to her live on radio for slapping her.

Zainab is still in Ghana and is not too clear if she would wait to join DKB’s campaign against gender violence, however DKB mentioned in an interview that, Ghana should expect something grand than what he started. “It will be across the whole of Africa and it will make a lot of sense to people as we were victims of it, making our account short of $200,000”, DKB said.

According to Peacefmonline.com investigations Zainab will make a guest appearance in the music video for Keitta’s hit single “One Boxer” which will be shot on location this week.
