Don’t rush to open schools – Prof. Kofi Agyekum advises Government

Prof. Kofi Agyekum, Dean of  School of Performing Arts, University of Ghana -Legon and a regular panelist of Kokrokoo program on Peace FM has advised that the government should not rush to open schools in this crucial times. 

 

According to the renowned academician, holding on with the WASSCE and BECE can would not disrupt anything. He said the Universities would reframe their academic calendar to suit the moments when we see the nature of the coronavirus.

 

“We should take time to learn the nature of the virus before, because we can not ensure social distancing in schools. And most of the students commute from their homes which would put them and the teachers at risk. Let us hold on for now” he said.
