Double Track To Leapfrog Ghana’s Secondary Educational Sector 20 Years Ahead – Deputy Education Minister
After the launch of the ruling government’s manifesto, a lot of issues have been raised on infrastructure in relation to the Delivery Tracker. Whilst the main opposition party, NDC, are maintaining that there is no need for the double track in the secondary schools because of the massive E-Blocks built by former President Mahama, the Deputy Education Minister begs to offer.
Deputy Education Minister Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum says the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) government’s double-track education system has the potential to leapfrog the country 20 years ahead in solving its inequality problem.
Making reference to a recent study by the Brooklyn Institution Dr Adutwum asserted: “Brooklyn Institution did a study recently about 6 months ago and said Ghana has been a nation in the developing world that has used a leapfrogging strategy to achieve something that they would have waited for 20 years to achieve and that is the double-track [system].”
