EC’s irresponsible act: Prez. preaching virtues but practicing vice – Sam George

Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram, Samuel Nartey Dzata George popularly known as Sam George has jabbed His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for what he describes as over pampering of Jean Mensa’s Electoral Commission.

According to him, the Akufo-Addo led government somewhat endorses the irresponsible actions carried out by the Electoral Commission.

His comment follows the alleged Electoral Commission’s disobedience to order from the court that forbade them to go on with their workshop training of directors and deputy directors on the upcoming compilation of a new Voter’s register in May and the general elections which will be held in December.

Sam George on Friday secured a court order to stop the Electoral Commission form holding the workshop at the Escape Hotel in Prampram.

However, the Electoral Commission and its leadership reportedly went ahead to organize the said workshop yesterday. According to reports from Joy News, their reporters saw heavy security at the hotel when they got there.
