Election 2020: NPP Has No Presidential Candidate Yet, But . . . – Solomon Nkansah

Despite having picked up forms and filed his nomination to lead the ruling NPP again in the December 7 Presidential polls, NDC’s Solomon Nkansah says President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is not an automatic candidate to be the flagbearer of the ruling party.

The former National Communications Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress claims the “NPP has no candidate yet” – after warning them [NPP] to cease from pressuring their flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama to name his running mate.

According to him the affirmation of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as Vice to President Akufo-Addo is a “psychological warfare” tactics by the NPP to divert attention of their bad governance.

“NPP don’t have a candidate, you are calling for NDC to produce our running mate . . . they don’t have a candidate, even if only Nana (President Akufo-Addo) has picked his form they’ll still have to go to congress to vote for him before officially he comes to name his running mate, Bawumia.

“NDC we are not going to be dictated to by the NPP, the question of the day is not who the running mate of NDC should be, but how Ghanaians are feeling in the economy of Ghana,” Solomon Nkansah told Kwesi Aboagye on Neat FM’s ‘Ghana Montie’ programme.
