After twelve weeks of search and gathering, the Hitz Discovery train,a reality show put together by Ghana's number one entertainment radio station,Hitz 103.7Fm which was meant to unearth musical talents, finally came to a smooth end at the forecourt of His Majesty Hotel in Accra.

The reality show, which grouped the Greater Accra Region into five zones saw young talented “wanna be” musicians who came out in their numbers to showcase their raw talents in order to be discovered. At the end of the zonal contests, 16 contestants were screened, groomed and sieved through weekly evictions, which was broadcast live on both Hitz 103.7Fm and Hitz TV on Multi TV to final six.

The event that started at exactly 7:00pm saw pass evictees on stage alongside the six finalists to showcase to the gathered audiences the stuff they were made up of.

This quickly served a teaser for what promised to be a night of great musical performances and fun.

Then came the curtain raiser, Akoo Nana, who performed great hit songs like Bokolo and Mugu which saw the crowd taking the dance floor to groove to the beats and sounds of their favourite star.

More was yet to come, one of MCs for the night, Kwame B, who also hosts Cruise Control on Hitz Fm, came to perform one of his single hit tracks,”Whats my name”alongside Ephraim.

As the night went on, the better the show got and the audience could not help but kept asking for more.

The six finalists were finally brought on stage in turns for first round of the talent show where they performed copyright songs. They were Woelin Segbefia, Prince Hlordzi, Ernest Ankomah, Hagar Adjei, David Addy and Augustine Afrifa

Performance after performance was the order of the night as Kwabena Kwabena also came on stage to mesmerize the audience with his soul-touching musical lyrics and soothing voice.

The fans were getting really thrilled and it was more than value for their money, in that such an occasion where music lovers would get all these great music stars on one stage and pay only five Ghana cedis hardly exists anymore.

Slowly but surely, the moment of truth for the show was crippling in as the contestants came on stage in turns to perform their own songs to decide the winner. But the moment of picking the outright winner was more than hectic for the three judges after steering performances from three of the contestants produced a tie, forcing an impromptu third round display.

The final three, Hagar Adjei, Prince Hodzi and Ernest Ankomah, were therefore given the third chance to impress the judges for the final winner to be declared, but while they prepared for the final battle, then suddenly came obour, who took the already excited crowd to another level with songs like “killing the game” and “where the money go dey”

Then came the final moment of truth, at this point, one could practically feel the tension in the air as the contestants nervously waited for the judges to declare who the winner was.

Jamie Adjetey, one of the judges, finally took the microphone to announce the second runner up position, which went to Hagar Adjei, the only female to have made it to the grand finale.
