Fireboy, Burna Boy and Rema feature on FIFA 21 soundtracks

Nigerian singer and songwriter, Adedamola Adefolahan, known professionally as Fireboy DMl makes his debut on football simulation game, FIFA 21.

Fireboy DML’s track “Scatter”, off his “Laughter, Tears and Goosebumps” album has been announced as part of the official soundtrack of FIFA 21 game release. This comes after Fireboy’s song; ‘Champion’ got used by European Champions, Bayern Munich.

This was negotiated by EMPIRE Publishing & YBNL. This makes the music star the only Nigerian-based act in theofficial soundtrack which is to launch worldwide on October 9, 2020, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
According to EA Sports, “the all new soundtrack to FIFA 21 features tracks by more than 100 artists from 23 different countries.” Fireboy and Rema represent Nigeria alongside top musicians across the globe.

There will be two separate soundtracks in FIFA21, with the main in-game soundtrack being accompanied by another collection of music that will primarily play during the use of the games ‘Volta’ feature.
The ‘Volta’ soundtrack (which can also be accessed in FIFA Ultimate Team and Career Mode by changing the in-game settings) will specifically highlight grime, electronic and hip-hop music. In this collection, other Nigerians who feature on the soundtrack include Dave x Burna boy with ‘Location’, Rema in Beamer (badboys’) ,Ms Banks, and Nnena
Overall, it marks a great few years for African artists and Afro beats
