Four Picked At Hitz Discovery Final Zonal Auditioning

The much anticipated final auditioning of the Hitz Discovery reality show came off at the Groove Control Nite Club in Tema Saturday, attracting 29 youngsters to battle for four places and a chance in the next phase of the show.

The 29, including three ladies, put up such splendid performances the judges had no choice but to admit four instead of the stipulated three contestants. The first round saw six contestants, three males and the three ladies, making their way into the second round.

The final four who will represent Zone Five, Sandra Whajah, Ewurama Agyeman, Woelin Segbefia and Prince Hlordzi will join 12 others selected from four earlier auditions.

Sidney Tehoda, Sales Manager for Hitz FM who briefed Myjoyonline.com on details of the next phase of the show, said the contestants will this week go through some grooming at the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) while Hammer of Last Two fame will also give them some tutelage.

The contestants will then take the studio from zone to zone next week and together with the judges, listeners will be given the opportunity to text (sms) in to support their favourite performers. The winner of the Hitz Discovery reality show will be crowned in January 2011.
