Gambling giant, betWay makes huge donation to COVID-19 fund

You wouldn’t get the humour in this if you’ve never lost your last coin in a game you placed your bet wrongly.

A leading Soccer betting company, BetWay has made a donation to the national COVID19 fund.

The president of the Republic of Ghana launched the fund to raise money for the fight against the dreaded coronavirus.

He subsequently appointed the immediate past Chief Justice of Ghana, Mrs. Sophia Akuffu as the chairperson of the fund.

A lot of sports betting patrons have been reacting to the development,  saying BetWay is using the monies they made from them to make the donation.

Their gesture is very commendable and other private companies are also encouraged to follow the example.
