Geena K Is ready for the world as Her Sophomore Album and Video are Unleashed

The world is once again ready to hear the soulful voice and and see pretty face of Geena K once again. It is just like the late Biggie Smalls aka Christopher Wallace who frequently used his popular catchphrase wherever he went “And if you don’t know now you know”. Definitely If you did not know Geena K when the first album was released well now you are about to know her even better and “funkier”.

Columbus, Ohio based Gospel music star, Geena K aka Georgina Abban, singer, composer and the executive producer, a protege of Ohemaa Mercy released her debut album; “Hwe Nea Waye” in 2009. She is back with a bang with a latest/sophomore eight track album entitled; “Adom”. It was produced by the singer, composer, beatmixer and “superdupa” producer; “Nacy” known for producing award-winning gospel hit records. He has a signature catchphrase in most of the music he produces;”Nacy fetew nwom no”, meaning mix the song.

“Adom” being the title track has Nacy on vocals and has been released and receiving major radio air plays and the star has been featured in Flex and Graphic showbiz newspapers respectively in Ghana. An incredible, inspiring and must see video of “Adom” has been released. It was directed by MCLord Ice and was shot entirely in Ghana. The video has been featured on some of the popular television channels and still getting airtime.

She has returned from an exciting music promotional tour of her new “Adom” album. The music star credited her mentor; gospel empress; Ohemaa Mercy and her super “dupa” husband/manager/producer; Ike Ampofo.

For the sake of fans who don’t know about the star, let’s go back to memory lane as she had been previously featured on 3gmediaonline.com, ghanaweb.com and ghanamusic.com.

Growing up, her parents who are Christians loved going to church but she was never bothered to follow them. Writing songs started as a surprise to her as suddenly her mind was fully occupied with songs. “It started fours years ago and the songs kept coming, I told someone about the situation and he advised me to start recording the songs as a way of getting them out of my system because it even affected my sleep pattern”.

She loves to write songs and realized that she had a gift of singing so she thought it would be a new way of using that medium become a vessel and promoting his work through her music.

She recorded her debut from her based in Columbus, Ohio, this time around she made a strategic decision to record the follow up back home in Ghana. This she believes that the songs recorded in Ghana somehow manages to get to all corners of the world where many Ghanaians are located. “Its a fact that the gospel we are promoting are primarily targeted at Ghanaians so one must make sure they reach out to Ghanaian communities where they are well patronized”,

Geena’s Favorite track on the new album happens to be a percussion driven fused with Hiplife beat; “Yehowa ne me hwefo” and has Ohemaa Mercy backing vocals.

Other hits on the album worth listening to are; ‘The Only way, Hena OteSe Wo and Great Almighty”. Inspirational songs from the heart put together to praise the God she proudly serves through music.

Stay tuned for her upcoming US promotional tour. 3G Media, her management and PR company congratulates on her new CD.
