Socialite, social commentator and the brain behind African think tank, IMANI Ghana, Mr. Franklin Cudjoe is in the news over the newest contention in town – definition of the Ghanaian citizenry and the use of birth certs. He has sarcastically opined that very soon, couples will have to be supervised before they can make love and reproduce in Ghana as a proof of their child’s citizenship.
Franklin Cudjoe wrote this on his Facebook wall;
“Any one intending to procreate from today, should notify the NIA and Passport Office to schedule two officers as witnesses to the acts before your babies are born, else they would not be citizens of Ghana even when your intimate acts are all performed in Ghana. Blood and semen evidence are the new games in town. Crazy country. Mehn!!”
The ‘IMANI’ Center for Policy and Education is an African think tank based in Accra, Ghana. As a member of the Atlas Economic Research Foundation, the think tank applies free market solutions to intricate domestic social problems.
