Ghanaians are not that skeptical about their religions because they’re a religious set of people who take their beliefs, norms, doctrines and what have you very serious.
Even though we have three main religions in Ghana (Christianity, Islam and African Traditionalists), for the purpose of this piece, we will be concentrating on Christianity.
Christians in Ghana take their religious affiliation very serious to the extent that anything contrary to their practices is seen as blasphemy (at least to those who do not understand the word fully).
To some Ghanaians, a very worrying trend in the country now is Mmebusem’s skit portraying the ‘supposed’ life of Jesus Christ on earth.
He has always maintained that he is doing that to educate Ghanaians rather than blaspheming against the holy name of the messiah like it’s being speculated by others. Despite his explanations not sinking well into the mind’s eye of Ghanaians, we now have another dude parading himself as Lucifer. Ghana Lucifer also argues that he is in to educate Ghanaians.
As normal as things may seem, many Ghanaians are not taking them serious since they somewhat fear for spiritual penalty on their lives if they support them wholeheartedly.
On a more serious note, are these guys doing something reasonable at all by claiming to be educating the citizenry ?
Let us have your opinions.
