Government and networks must reduce data cost for Ghanaians at this time – John Dramani Mahama
Former president of the Republic of Ghana and leader of the main opposition party, national democratic congress (NDC) – John Dramani Mahama is pleading with the government to cut down the cost of the internet during this COVID-19 pandemic.
Revealing this after donating 20,000 food items to the needy to aid them to cope with the lock down, John Dramani Mahama touched on how students are unable to complete their online studies because of the high prices of data subscriptions in the country.

He said:
“This Lockdown has drastically increased expenditure on internet usage to the extent that some can no longer cope. Indeed there are reports of several students being unable to complete online lectures because their data run out. Several people are also working from home.”
