At the moment, former Nigerian actor, socialite and now turned politician, Desmond Elliot is trending on all social media platforms because of a submission he made at the House of Assembly (what is known in Ghana here as Parliament House).

The Lagos House Of Assembly Member, Hon. Desmond Elliot had condemned Social Media, blasted celebrities, motivational speakers and other social media influencers in his latest speech on the floor.

Desmond Elliot, while reacting to the recent EndSARS protests and Lekki killings, in Lagos House of Assembly said:

“Social media has its negative impact.
Please celebrities, social media influencers, stop the hatred already.”

The above sentiment among other statement has made the former Nollywood star a bit hot as some of the youths are calling him out on Twitter, Facebook and other social media platforms.
