HON. AFENYO-MARKIN DONATES $30,000 FOR THE EVACUATION OF STRANDED GHANAIANS IN LEBANON
The Member of Parliament for Effutu, Hon. Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin, has donated $30,000 to help in the evacuation of stranded Ghanaians in Lebanon back home.
The donation is his own contribution towards varied appeals made by some stranded Ghanaians who travelled to Lebanon and have been finding it difficult to cope with harsh economic conditions in the country at the moment.
It could be recalled that the Assin Central Member of Parliament, hon. kennedy agyapong pledged to support the project with $150,000 whilst his son, Kenneth Agyapong also promised $2000. Some Ghanaians have also started contributing via MoMo and vodacash to salvage the situation.
Around last two weeks, a viral video depicted helpless and frustrated Ghanaians making passionate appeals to His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa akufo-addo & Hon. Kennedy Agyapong to assist these them.
It is for the betterment of the evacuation plan that the Honourable Member of Parliament for Effutu, Afenyo-Markin, has also donated $30,000 to help bring the stranded Ghanaians home.
