Hon. Kennedy Agyapong To Appear Before Court Today
In what appears to be a tough moment for the Assin Central legislator, he is supposed to see his assigned High Court judge today over the Contempt of Court saga. This very development is being tagged as a test for Ghana’s rule of law by some National Democratic Congress (NDC) fanatics such as Yayra Koku and host of With All Due Respect (WADR) under the Loud Silence Media, Kevin Ekow Taylor.
Readers could recall that Hon. Kennedy Agyapong was summoned by a competent court of jurisdiction for purportedly using unprintable words on a judge sitting on a case of his. According to the New Patriotic Party bigwig, he couldn’t fathom why a parcel of land he has owned for 18 years could be dragged before the courts.
Even though the legislator has apologized for insulting the judge, he ignored the court summons last Monday because he claimed he was not personally served. The judge then asked the MP to appear before him today after causing his summons to be placed over strategic places for the MP’s perusal.
