Controversial investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo has taken to her social media pages in the early hours of Monday, November 9, to disclose that the popular social media sensation Hushpuppi and his friend Woodberry arrested on the claim of internet fraud may soon be freed.
Recall that Hushpuppi was arrested some months ago by Interpol in his Dubai residence on June 10, 2020, after he was embroiled in a $35 million ventilator scam.
Hushpuppi known for his flamboyant lifestyle and Woodberry were arrested alongside some ten other fraud suspects in an operation dubbed “Fox Hunt 2” by Dubai Police.
Charges leveled against them included money-laundering, hacking, criminal impersonation, cyber fraud, banking fraud, and identity theft. Hushpuppi and his friend Woodberry who is currently in prisons in Atlanta are awaiting trial.
However, Kemi Olunloyo, in a tweet she tagged ‘exclusive’, has disclosed that information reaching her states that Hushpuppi and Woodberry will be freed on bail but with movement restrictions.
