I Am Afraid Of This Year’s Election, Ghana May Experience First War – Captain Smart
Angel 102.9 FM’s main man and host of Anapa Bofo) and Fabewoso, Captain Smart has decried the electoral related violence, chaos and injuries since the Electoral Commission started the 2020 registration exercise.
Speaking this morning, Captain Smart has said emphatically that he is more afraid of this year’s election than any other elections he has ever witnessed in Ghana. He therefore called on the security agencies to be careful in both Volta Region (NDC’s stronghold) and Ashanti Region (NPP’s stronghold) or else Ghana may experience their first ever electoral related war.

Captain Smart’s caution follows after one person died, with two others in critical condition after a renewed clash between some supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at Nkrankwanta in the Dormaa West District of the Bono Region.
This was after some gunshots were fired on Saturday, August 8, 2020.
Confirming the incident to JoyNews, the Member of Parliament for Dormaa West constituency, Ali Maiga Halidu accused the NDC of busing thugs from Sankore and Kasapin in the Ahafo Region to intimidate members of the NPP.
This is the second electoral related violence as a College of Education (CoE) graduate was murdered in Banda in electoral related violence during the registration centre.
