I can’t accept that Castro is still missing – Castro’s dad

imagesAlmost a year into the mysterious disappearance of Hiplife artiste, Theophilus Tagoe, also known as female friend, Janet Bandu, the father of Castro, John Eshun insists he still can't come to terms with the fact that his son is missing.

Mr. Eshun told listeners on Adom FM's Midday News of Monday June 29, 2015 that he still cannot come to terms with the loss because the reasons given so far do not add up.

“I still don't accept that son fell in water because reports from operators of the resort indicate that the Jet Ski on which Castro sat was never turned, the keys were still on it and the life jacket worn by Castro is still not found…,” he said.

The popularly known as Castro de Destroyer and Janet Bandu went missing on July 4, 2015 when they joined a trip organized by Black Stars skipper, Asamoah Gyan to the Aqua Safari resort for a holiday.

Several theories have emerged what happened but the most consisted has been that Castro dived into the sea in a bid to rescue Janet when she fell into the water at the estuary of the Volta and the sea at Ada.

Despite several attempts aimed at finding the missing duo proving futile, Castro's Dad maintains that he still believes his son is just missing, not dead.

“At least, I expected that the sea would wash their bodies ashore if they indeed fell into it but none of the bodies has so far been seen…,” he added.

Castro's Christian family, he added, is still praying and cooperating with the police to help resolve the riddle.

Father's Day Sorrow

With Castro being the first person to always wish him well on Father's Day every year, Mr. Eshun said he became very sad in 2015 as he remembered the missing musician.

“I was very sad on father's day because Castro was always the first person to wish me well whether he was in Ghana or had travelled outside but this year, there was none and I really felt sad…,” he said.

Mr. Eshun added that he has been hearing from Asamoah Gyan and other friends who travelled with Castro to the Aqua Safari trip.

But that is not same with Staff Sergeant Joe Bandu (rtd), the father of Janet Bandu who revealed that the Al Ain striker and his colleagues have never contacted him since the daughter went missing.

Mr. Bandu insists he would still demand his daughter from Castro anytime he resurfaces in Ghana.

This request, Castro's Dad thinks is unnecessary especially as the two remain missing till date.

All that is necessary, he said, is to find a way that would lead to the discovery of the missing pair.
