I got the crown, forget everyone – Wendy Shay replies cyberbullies

Singer Wendy Shay has fended off cyberbullying she has suffered in the past few days over a photo she shared on her social media handles.

Trending at number one on Twitter, the singer became the punching bag and a subject of ridicule for cyber bullies.

She shared a photo of herself wearing a cropped purple jumpsuit with a white blazer and gold bangles and a choker necklace to match her outfit.

Also spotting wine hair colour and purple lipstick, the ‘Uber Driver’ hit singer gazed into the camera lens. “Bold and Beautiful,” she captioned the photo.

But many people who commented on the photo were not very kind to her with many using unprintable words to describe her.

As the attacks got out of hands, some known personalities wadded in to support the ‘Best New Artiste’ winner at the 20th anniversary of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

“Gorgeous. I love it,” Nana Aba Anamoah posted while rapper Sarkodie said “She’s beautiful and working to secure her (future), that’s what matters sis    … we only worry when that stops.”

Clearly unfazed by the attacks, Wendy Shay, wearing checked blazer dress in a photo she posted, clapped back at her attackers saying, “I got the crown,  forget everyone Tell me na who dat gyal?”

She was not done with them yet. She made another post to silence her attackers.

“I commot my eyes cos I see many many pass this one #instonebwoysvoice,” she said.

This will not be the first time a section of the public will be attacking Wendy Shay.

Late last year, she suffered a huge public backlash after she described a question that JoyNews’ MzGee posed to her as “dumb”.
