I Have Quit Teaching – Ohemaa Mercy

imagesGospel musician, Ohemaa Mercy says she has quitted teaching for now because it is difficult combining the profession with her music career.

The artiste with over ten years’ experience in the music industry made this known on Radio Univers’ mid-morning show, Brunch2Lunch.

She told the show host, Abrantepa that she has plans to establish a school in the Eastern Regional capital, Koforidua.

“I have quitted teaching for now. I have not entirely retired. I am on leave from the service since it is difficult to combine music and teaching. Music is very demanding. Currently we are embarking on a project to build a school in Koforidua,” she said.

Management of the artiste added that Ohemaa Mercy will be touring schools on her project dubbed ‘Ohemaa Mercy School Outreach Ministry’.

“Because she is a teacher and has students at heart, she will embark on school outreach ministries. She will get to the schools, teach them purity, how to live life, how to build their talent and many other things.”

Speaking about the second edition of her Tehillah Experience which comes off on August 2, 2015 at the ICGC, Calvary Temple, Spintex Road, Ohemaa Mercy asked all to join her sing songs of worship to God.

Tehillah Experience 2015 will feature many seasoned and anointed Gospel Artistes like Cece Twum, Joe Mettle, Francis Amo, Diana Hammond, Nana Tuffour and the host, Ohemaa Mercy.

The concert, according to the organizers, has been designed to show “the significance of worship in the spiritual upliftment of Christians”.

The theme for this year’s event is “The Shofar And The Ark Experience”.
