I Will Accept NPP Running Mate Position If… – Kyei Mensah Bonsu Reveals

The Member of Parliament for the Suame Constituency who doubles as the Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu has said he will gladly take a running mate position in the next election (precisely in the 2024 polls) if given the nod.

According to the New Patriotic Party firebrand, he will accept such a position in the party but his focus now is assisting the president to take the country to the next level.

He noted that when the vice president, HE Mahamadu Bawumia becomes a flag bearer, there’s no way he is going to choose someone from the Eastern Region all because the President, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo comes from that Region.

“If Dr. Bawumia wins the flagbearership position, obviously he will look at the down south for a running mate,” he noted.

“Eastern region will be ruled out because President Akufo-Addo comes from the region. He will look at the Brong Ahafo, Ashanti region, Fanti (Central) or Volta regions”.
