A parent whose ward is currently in one of the secondary schools in the country, Mr. Abass Fuseini Sbaabe
has jabbed the Ministry of Education (MoE), Ghana Education Service (GES) and the government for supposedly endangering the lives of Ghanaian children because of how they’re being camped in the schools amid the scary news of the skyrocketed Coronavirus cases.
Mr. Abass Fuseini Sbaabe made his thoughts known on his Facebook post.
“I WILL SOON DECLARE ‘WAR’ ON MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND THE GES FOR ENDANGERING THE LIVES OF MY CHILDREN AND WARDS!
I am parent with many wards who are in their final year in a number of schools. I have been bared from visiting them. Sadly enough, one of them has been quarantined. She was suspected to have come into contact with coronavirus infected person on campus. As l write, she has been quarantined together with others from her dormitory for days now. She used the mobile phone of a nurse to reach me and told me about her plight. This quarantined little girl is complaining about the poor nature of their food. She has constant headache and can’t smell anything now. I am inclined to believe that my ward has been infected with the deadly coronavirus.
She is fed with the poor food that all the students are being fed with but this is a person who has been quarantined on suspicion that she might have contracted the disease. I asked what medication she has been receiving and she said they are given some concoctions made from a plant called ‘prekese’ to drink. As a guardian, l am concerned about the life of this innocent niece of mine but do the school autourities care? Does the government know what is happening in our schools? I wish l had the opportunity to send her the best of foods that can boost her immunity but there are two obstacles”.
What’s your take on this?
