I WON’T CHANGE MY STAGE NAME-NYAMEKYE

During the official release of the sensational afro pop artiste Nyamekye’s latest song titled SIMPLE GYAL featuring DXD, most of the pundits on the A.M Pluzz show suggested the management of the artiste should do something about the brand.
Their concern about the name is that, the name Nyamekye speaks well of a gospel artiste than a secular artiste. We just started and we knew we will face these problems yet we took a concrete decision.
Chatting with Nyamekye according to her preference regards to the genre of music, she said ’’I have been a fan of dancehall music for long and I feel ease riding on Afro dancehall beats and can also do other genres but will choose afro pop she disclosed.
The 23years old afro pop artiste who is actually doing well with her blazing track Simple Gyal and many others yet to be released she is sure to stay in the system till all her aspirations are fulfilled. Nyamekye is Signed to Front Line Entertainment,a new record Label in Ghana managed by Dan lartey and financed by Nii Tetteh Ankamah.
She has so far staged with the big names in the industry like: Tinny, Episode, Eze, Abrewa Nana, Screw Face, kesse, Edem and many others and has been endorsed by some of these known names in the industry. Performing at the Mr and Miss SSS at the National Theater, Nyt of 101 Music and comedy at the Dreamland and Eze and Friends Party at Dancestardom were amazing.
Nyamekye said, she knows the competition is tight but due to determination she will persevere.
Nyamekye is currently looking forward to collaborate with artiste like Stonebwoy,Shatta Wale,Samini, Episode,Jupitar and Efya any moment from now.

Honestly speaking about my own view I don’t think Nyamekye is a good name for a dancehall artiste and the fashion too has to be worked on to suit the genre of music. Everyone is jumping to do dancehall music nowadays because its more viable in the market buts its not everyone that suits into that genre.
