IGP pays a courtesy call on Asantehene.

Since Ghanaians are just few weeks away from the Dec 7 polls, the onus lies on the security agencies to ensure a serene environment for the upcoming Presidential and Parliamentary General Elections.

The Inspector General of Police Mr.James Oppong- Boanuh, has paid a courtesy call on the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II as part of his working visit to the Ashanti Region. The IGP used the occasion to thank Nananom for their support to the Police Administration.

Otumfuo expressed confidence in the Police to deliver its mandate to protect the sanctity of the upcoming general elections, and also used the occasion to advise Police Officers to remain neutral in discharging their duties.

The IGP further used the occasion to admonish all and sundry to root for peace before, during and after the electioneering moment of the country.
