I’m not a lesbian – Ebony

Afrobeat artiste Ebony has debunked claims that she is a lesbian.

“I like boys,” she told Nana Romeo on Ayekoo Ayekoo on Accra100.5FM on Thursday June 8, 2017.

There have been rumours on social media that the Poison hit maker was a homosexual. Responding to the claim, she said: “Yes, I have heard and seen on social media that I’m a lesbian, but I’m not, I like boys. I’m sure they say same about other female artistes.”

She noted that she did not know why people would assume she was a lesbian as she is happily dating a man.

Ebony was discovered by renowned musician and entrepreneur Bullet of Ruff ‘n’ Smooth fame when she sent a recording of her voice and was signed to his Rufftown record label just a day later.

Ebony came out with her first single, Dancefloor, in December 2015 which earned her a nomination for the Unsung category at the 2016 Ghana Music Awards.

Ebony’s single, Kupe, was an instant hit and continues to receive massive airplay across the country.

Ebony is out with a new song called Sponsored, which she co-wrote with Bullet.
