According to him, he works hard on his music and writes lyrics with good massages for Ghanaians, but others only rush in releasing easily disposable songs with bad content just to survive.
The “Migizigi” hit maker was speaking with DJ Willie on Adom FM’s Efiada Mbosuo Friday night.
“I am the only one whose songs are forever enjoyed in Ghana because a lot of Ghanaian musicians rush and churn out songs which has no good message for people so their songs don’t last and they are forced to keep releasing new songs within very short periods of time,” he argued.
The one time Best Artist in Ghana, emphasized that most of his colleagues write songs that last for only three months and people forget about that the song because the contents are not relevant to Ghanaians like his songs are.
Kontihene. who recently had a fight with hiplife artiste Kwaw Kese and radio and television personality Amanda Jisseh over similar comments about Kwaw Kese’s lyrics, said he will never collaborate with Kwaw because he does not produce songs with good content.
Meanwhile, earlier on, he had some altercation with Amanda on twitter over the same matter.
Amanda was interviewing him on radio when he got angry and banged the phone on her. She then took to twitter and advised him to work on his “sharp tongue and attitude”, but he replied with a rather unsavory allegation against Amanda.
Kontihene alleged on twitter that Amanda took the side of Kwaw Kese because the latter gave her G-string and ghc5,000 on her birthday.
The hip life great said he will never rush into producing any song and he hopes his fellow musicians will begin to do same to ensure that Ghanaians get good music.
