Industry players to learn ways to market Ghanaian music internationally

Industry players in the Ghanaian music industry are set to go through a lecture series aimed at educating them on ways to market their music internationally.

The lecture series which is the brainchild of Cage Multimedia Ltd is under the courtesy of the Goethe Institute in partnership with Alliance Française.

The two-day workshop is under the theme: “Ghanaian Music Stakeholders: Transition into Foreign Markets,” and it will focus on guidelines to marketing Ghanaian music internationally.

Speakers at the lecture include renowned hi-life musician Mr. Charles Amoah, music professor, Professor John Collins, Mr. Paa Kwesi Holdbrook-Smith and sound engineer Mr. Kwame Yeboah.

The lecture series according to the organizers “is geared towards retooling all industry professionals with the right resources in the promotion of Ghanaian music in foreign markets.”

It will also help in identifying and resolving some of the challenges in music marketing.

The series will come off at Alliance Française on Tuesday June 12 and Wednesday June 13.
