The Minister for Information, Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has said tackling infrastructure alone can’t make you win elections.
He made the statement in a one-on-one interview with Okay FM.
“In 2016, the NDC said the same thing that they have built schools and hospitals and came up with a green book. Ghanaians listened to them, weighed it and compared with their living conditions. They asked one question that if you have built schools and hospitals, does it solve all my problems,” he said.
“The farmer, who needs help for his agric business to flourish, how does the construction of schools and hospitals help his course? The person, who cannot access healthcare with the NHIS due to its collapse, how does the construction of schools and hospitals help that person to get better?”
“If the NDC is basing the election on infrastructure alone, what we are saying is that governance is about touching many areas of life before tackling infrastructure. We can show the areas of life we have touched,” he stressed.
