JEKKAH – Sourced, Designed and Manufactured in The Gambia
JEKKAH is the fun and funky brand that will bring a bit of African colour to your life. Founded in 2013, they design and manufacture their African Inspired Clothing made from 100% cotton African Wax Print materials in The Gambia, West Africa.
JEKKAH is a word taken from the Wolof language which is a language spoken by over 10 million people in West Africa, mainly in Senegal and the The Gambia. Wolof is a spoken language, not a written one so people may argue over the spelling but the word has a clear meaning:
Their products are all sourced, designed and manufactured in The Gambia, using highly skilled local Gambian tailors. When you buy any item by JEKKAH you are actively supporting and making a difference to Gambian people.

JEKKAH gives back to Africa and in particular the people of The Gambia by only employing local highly trained tailors.
In addition, they have partnered with the ERASE FOUNDATION whose main objective is to provide resources and assistance to communities in West Africa, particularly Gambia. 5% of all online sales will be donated to this brilliant charity who have built schools and orphanages for impoverished children in remote locations in The Gambia.
