Jet skis are not that dangerous – Mzbel explains her Ada jet ski photo

 Posting a photo of herself on a jet ski three weeks after her former lover went missing on one, popular singer, Belinda Nana Akua Amoah or Mzbel, says the watercraft is not dangerous.

Speaking to Multi TV’s Let’s Talk Entertainment, the once-raunchy but now sober artiste said “I went to Ada for a meeting and I decided to pose on a jet ski to have fun and also to prove to people that jet skis are not dangerous or scary so long as you have your life jackets on you are on point”


It’s been three weeks since the sudden disappearance of renowned Hiplife artiste Theophilus Tagoe aka Castro and his acquaintance, Janet Bandu after the two were last seen on a jet ski at Ada. The two are believed to have drowned.

The shocking news of the popular musician’s disappearance triggered concerns about the safety of jet skis. Unfazed and unperturbed, Mzbel decided to prove to Ghanaians that the Jet Ski is not as dangerous as it’s being perceived by taking a picture on one.

She did not take a spin on the lake.

Some fans branded her attempt as insensitive. But she maintains the fear had to be overcome.

She also shared her first reactions to the news of missing Castro.

“When I first heard that Castro disappeared, I thought it was for real, he was dead, but then myself, Tiffany, Captain planet and some friends in the media, we went to Castro’s parents house and [his] dad [assured] us that Castro is not dead and so we shouldn’t mourn him. Before we thought he was dead but after his dad’s confirmation to us I thought life goes on”

Life indeed has gone on for Mzbel who after giving birth in March last year has now turned her attention to her musical career. The ’16 years’ hit maker , two years ago, ditched showbiz and showy, short, skimpy dresses after falling in love with her baby.

Mzbel has hinted, she is on returning to the music scene soon with two hit singles.

“Am coming back very soon, I’m supposed to be back by now but because of the baby, things are very slow. But am working with EL. I have worked with other producers and am shooting a video with famous films soon so in a month or two Mzbel will be back”.

Nonetheless, if you are expecting her in hot shorts, then read her lips “Those days are gone and they are not with me anymore”.
