John Mahama is making comments on COVID-19 for political survival

It could be recalled that the former president and flag bearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress expressed disappointment in the rapid increase in the coronavirus numbers. And he suggested that it is an indication that the government is failing Ghanaians.

In response today, during an address to the nation the president said people who say the government is failing are making those comments for political survival.

Though he didn’t mention anyone’s name but t is clear who that jab was targetted at.

“I know some political actors will want you to believe that our current numbers represent a failure on the part of the Government.  Do not begrudge them. They need to make such comments for their political survival” he said.
