The event is being put together by freshnew18.com an events, PR and advertising company in Ghana operators of the news website nanayaw18.com and 18newspaper.com. In a statement released by the project cordinator for the event Nana Yaw Wiredu, he disclosed the reason for this event.

‘Since May is tagged to be women’s month, the idea is to set up an event that will not only celebrate these women as mothers but also recognize their hard work in the industry’. He mentioned that in this male dominated entertainment industry these women have worked hard to climb the ladder of fame and consistency hence for them to be succeeding in their fields deserves praise and that is what DIVAS BALL is set to do.

The event targets alot of hard working Divas in the industry but for this Mother’s day Jam and honoree night, we hope to treat the above names and two more to a night of great music, relaxation and celebration.

The listed DIvas will each receive a citation signed by fans, friends and love ones, facial, massage and beauty treatment, Women related products and hampers.

In his ending words, Nana Yaw Wiredu noted that there are a lot of deserving hard working women in the arts hence the company will try to honour them in rotation preferably every quarter starting with this one.

It is our hope that these DIVAS will accept our little effort in saying ‘AYEKOO’ on mothers day and also for their success in the industry.
