Junior Police Officers’ Promotional Course Open
The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr. James Oppong-Boanuh today has opened this year’s Promotional Course for Police officers of the junior rank personnel pending promotion. The opening was held at the National Police Training School, Tesano-Accra on 14th June, 2021. The course is being held in all the regions across the country simultaneously and is planned to run in batches of ranks till October 2021. A total of eleven thousand eight hundred and fifty-four (11, 854) junior police officers are targeted to benefit from the course.
IGP, Oppong-Boanuh stated that the pursuit of human development is central to the Police Administration’s reform agenda to make the Police Service one of the best in the world. He further reiterated that the quality of human resources in every organization is considered paramount for high performance and sustainability, and the Ghana Police Service is no exception. “I urge you to use this opportunity to broaden your horizon on contemporary law enforcement strategies, our administrative procedures and regulations to adequately prepare you for the examination and task ahead in your professional career”, he added.
Together with the IGP at the ceremony were some members of the Police Management Board and other officers.
