(JUST IN):Ghana impose travel ban on countries with 200 or more cases of Coronavirus
Ghana has just announced 6 positive cases of imported Coronavirus; the said cases aren’t local. This means that the infections was not in Ghana but happened outside the borders of Ghana.
As part of the announcement of the Coronavirus cases, the government of Ghana has imposed a temporary ban on travelers from countries that have recorded 200 or more cases of coronavirus. This ban is however not applicable to Ghanaian citizens or foreigners with valid Ghanaian resident permits.
The travel ban was announced by Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah at a press briefing in Accra on Sunday, March 15, 2020.
Is this long overdue or the right decision at the moment?
