Happy New Year!
TMZ caught up with the embattled comedian and he gave his $0.02 on the controversial film, ‘Django Unchained,’ more specifically, the film’s director, Quentin Tarantino.
The film has drawn harsh criticism from Director Spike Lee and others who feel that Tarantino not only uses the word “n*gger” gratuitously throughout the film, but that juxtaposing slavery with comedy, and contextualizing it within the Spaghetti Western genre is “disrespectful” to our ancestors.
Williams, who was just released after being arrested on child endangerment charges, agrees, saying that Tarantino wants to be Black and that he needs to watch his back.
“Quentin Tarantino thinks he can say the N-word. But I checked with all of Ni**adom and nobody knows where he got his pass from. I hope he didn’t get it from Samuel L. Jackson and Jamie Foxx cause they aren’t going to help you when I see you.”
When our photog tried to compare QT to Steven Spielberg (who made “Amistad” in 1997), Katt shot back, “Quentin Tarantino is no Steven Spielberg. Steven Spielberg doesn’t wanna be black, Quentin Tarantino thinks he is. So when he meets a real ni**a, we’ll see if he is or not.”
