He is known in his private life as Theophilus Kofi Nti and comes from the eastern part of Ghana.
Many will remember him for the hit song of all time, ‘Rakia’, which featured some of Ghana’s most renowned artistes such as K.K Fosu, Ofori Amponsah and Barosky. In an interview with the star, he confirmed that preparations were far advanced for him to tour the United Kingdom this Easter.
This, he said, was in response to an invitation extended to him by the Ghanaian community in the UK when he went there for a show during last Christmas.
He said, ‘It is expected to be a surprised one because Ghanaians in the UK will see me performing with my own bandsmen for the first time.’
The show is anticipated to be a live band performance with good tunes from his old and latest album. Throwing more light, Kofi was quick to add that it was about time Ghanaians portrayed to the outside world what they were capable of, and also project Ghana through live band music as being done by some of our highlife gurus such as Kojo Antwi, Daddy Lumba, among others.
Kofi noted that he had future plans of promoting his music onto the international market.
Concluding, he said all should expect the best and always pray for Ghanaian music to have a firm stand in both the local and international markets. No tags for this post.
