December 7 was seen as 10 years or more from us whilst it came as swift as how a cat that has smelled the aroma of a Titus sardine appears! Before the discerning electorates in Ghana realized that the time was already over, they were already at the polls choosing between New Patriotic Party’s (NPP’s) Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and National Democratic Congress (NDC’s) John Dramani Mahama.

The incessant shocks from this electioneering moment will certainly go down as one of the skeptical feelings in the historical socio-politico archives of the Republic of Ghana. Contributing to these deliberations concerning the electoral surprises, a netizen has made his thoughts known on his Facebook page.

The bold statement is that the Ghanaian voter is more wiser and sophisticated. No amount of sweet talk can influence him or her.

To this end, I’m looking forward to the day an Independent Candidate will win the Presidential seat.

Also, I’m looking forward to the day the NDC will win the majority seats in the Ashanti Region & the NPP will also do the same in the Volta Region.

Enough of the Party colors; competence must be the ultimate!

Whoever wins this election must be ready to work for the people and not just a selected few.

Being referred to as a developing country is not enough. We must strive to be a developed nation.
