Mahama: I love Stonebwoy’s ‘Baafira’, Lil Win and Agya Koo

President John Mahama has said he is in love with Stonebwoy’s hit ‘Baafira’.

According to the president, Stonebwoy’s other track ‘Sheekena’ is also his personal favourite.

Speaking to Radio Ghana Wednesday, Mahama also revealed he also likes KK Kabobo, Kojo Antwi, Shasha Marley, VVIP, and the defunct duo Wutah.

Mahama also endorsed local actors Agya Koo and Lil Win as well as film producer Shirley Frimpong Manso.

“I think Ghanaians are taking to our music and a lot of our young people are taking to our music. There’s been an influx of Nigerian music.

“Competition is good and so when Nigerian music comes in, it kind of inspires and encourages our own artistes to also up their game and so I think that is good. We listen to a lot of Nigerian music and Ghanaian music too.”

“We must aim for a fair balance in terms of foreign music and local music. Foreign music is good… I don’t think we should overplay foreign music at the expense of our local music,” he added.
