He will be playing himself in the dramatic soap that is broadcast every day (Monday to Friday) at 20:30 CAT on AfricaMagic Entertainment.
“I actually really enjoyed myself, I mean great cast, wonderful director, everyone on set – very professional. And all the elements of drama can be found in TINSEL. The suspense, wondering what happens next?,” Michel says of his experience on the production.
“A long time ago, I realized that my acting is not only about myself, it’s an extension of many things that I hope for in our industry. So I made up my mind to extend myself to film projects that improve our movie making prospects within the continent. I believe that this can also inspire young actors coming behind me. TINSEL is a typical reflection of that, after all, its’ one of the most successful soaps out of Nigeria.
“My fans have seen me play several diversified roles over the years but they know they’re going to be in for a ride each time and at the end, for a big surprise! They’re currently wondering whether I am the protagonist or the antagonist? How will he be intriguing? Maybe he might play a romantic lover? Well, you never know. They will definitely have to tune in to see!”
M-Net Regional Manager Wangi Mba-Uzoukwu says: “Majid is a professional who brings an infectious positive energy to his work and that’s remarkable for someone who is so in demand, so busy and popular. We’ve been extremely fortunate that, in addition to having a very talented core cast and crew, we‘ve also been able to host super guest stars on TINSEL, including Richard Mofe-Damijo and Osas Ighodaro.”
